EnTouch Controls Extends Series A Financing Round

Richardson, Texas – June 25, 2012 – EnTouch Controls, a leading provider of energy management systems for small businesses, today announced that it has extended its Series A financing round to add an additional $500,000 to the $2 million series A financing it announced in Dec. 2011.

The financing round was led by Trailblazer Capital and will allow the company to accelerate market expansion of its EnTouch Energy Management System (EMS) targeted at small businesses, national chains, and schools.

The company’s suite of products and services enable small businesses to understand and manage energy usage. Energy is typically the largest unmanaged expense in small commercial facilities: restaurants, retail stores, schools, and offices. Business managers lack tools to measure, manage, and reduce consumption. EnTouch Controls solves this problem with a low-cost, cloud-based, and fully wireless solution designed for retrofit applications.

The company has completed major installations with national restaurant and retail chains, school districts, auto dealerships, service facilities, and offices and warehousing. These customers have demonstrated energy savings of 20% or more while reducing equipment runtime and saving on maintenance costs. Coupled with the low upfront cost, the system typically pays for itself in as little as six months, generating positive cash flow in the first year.

“The market for EnTouch is large and traditional offerings are lacking in performance. The team is demonstrating solid customer acquisition and is ahead of plan on business execution so we’re excited to lead the extended series A round and provide more resources for EnTouch,” said David Matthews, a Managing Partner of Trailblazer Capital. “I’ve seen first hand the dramatic savings an organization can gain using the EnTouch EMS. The prospects for this technology are very encouraging.”

“Our base of large customers continues to grow and we’ve exceeded our own expectations on energy savings and customer payback interval, it’s been universally true that the results have delighted our customers. The additional investment will allow us to accelerate our growth and invest in our offering of energy management products and services,” said Greg Fasullo, CEO of EnTouch Controls. “It’s also pleasing to have our investors recognize the market potential and the hard work of the entire EnTouch team with this added investment.”

The EnTouch Controls Energy Management System enables customers to manage, measure and save energy. The company provides services to evaluate, deploy, and monitor energy management for national chains, franchise owners, schools and offices.

The system replaces thermostat controls with an advanced, multiple-zone, and wireless HVAC control system and peripherals that monitor energy. The wireless design simplifies installation and reduces upfront costs. The EnTouchGo.com customer portal provides remote access, data reporting, and maintenance alerting, allowing users to fully manage their facilities remotely. Advanced features enable group scheduling, one-time events, and the ability to add additional users with adjustable permissions. EnTouch provides site assessment, installation, and lifecycle monitoring services that ensure energy optimization and prompt resolution of system maintenance issues.
