RICHARDSON, TEXAS – February 18, 2014 – EnTouch Controls, a leading provider of cloud-based total facility intelligence systems, today announced it has received the Silver 2014 Connected World Award for Building Automation.
Award winners were honored on February 13, 2014 at a gala event at The Montgomery Club in Chicago as part of the Connected World Conference held within the 2014 Chicago Auto Show.
The Connected World Awards honor the companies that have successfully leveraged machine-to-machine (M2M) technology in order to solve a critical pain point within their business, all with quantifiable results. In a press release following the award announcement, Connected World magazine editorial director, Peggy Smedley, said:
“The 2014 award winners honored tonight are a combination of large and small companies representing a range of industries and applications. These winners came from areas of energy and healthcare, as well as building automation and retail. Solutions were implemented for GPS, car sharing, and even concrete-management systems. This is a testament to the growth of the vertical markets and acceptance of the technology within those various segments.”
“Our M2M technology and cloud architecture is directly responsible for our ability to develop an energy management and facility intelligence solution that delivers significant energy and maintenance savings in a cost effective way for our customer base,” said Greg Fasullo, CEO of EnTouch. “It is an honor to be recognized alongside these great innovators and we look forward to continuing to develop M2M solutions that meet our customer needs.”
Through M2M partnerships with RacoWireless and Telit, EnTouch is able to securely integrate wireless thermostats and energy monitoring controllers with a cloud-based facility management dashboard that customers can access from anywhere. The connected systems feed the dashboard every minute with usage data that can be analyzed for trends to identify maintenance issues or usage patterns.
With its M2M architecture, the system connects to the cloud through a cellular data connection, thus it doesn’t need access to a corporate network and can be installed almost anywhere, even in remote locations that don’t have LAN or Wi-Fi connections.
The combined solution is making energy management easier and more cost effective than ever for small businesses and can mean big savings for these companies, with up to 35% energy reduction.
