Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you use Entouch products and services. That includes our website, the Entouch platform and mobile apps, including entouchgo.com, our connected devices, social media pages, communications, and web-based tools. It does not apply to employment information or third-party services, except where a third party provides services on our behalf. Entouch Controls is responsible for the information described in this policy.
What information we collect
Personal information means information that identifies you, or that relates to you and could reasonably be used to identify you. We collect names; business contact information such as email address, phone number, business address, company name, and job title; account credentials; information you enter into the Entouch platform; device identifiers such as IP address and browser type; and communications with us, including support requests, emails, and form submissions. We do not ask for sensitive personal information, and we ask that you do not submit it through our Services.
Information you give us
We collect information about you and your company when you register for an account, create or update a profile, request a demo, or buy from us. This can include your name, username, email address, phone number, business address, and billing details. We also collect content you create, enter, upload, or store in our Services, including site names and addresses, equipment details, schedules, setpoints, notes, alerts, and reports. We collect other submissions you send us through website forms, support requests, webinar or event registrations, email, and social media.
Information we collect automatically
Entouch controllers, sensors, meters, and gateways collect operational data from installed buildings, including energy use, equipment runtime, temperatures, humidity, setpoints, lighting and refrigeration status, alarms, and device health. This data describes buildings and equipment, not people. We also record usage and log information, such as IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, date and time stamps, searches, language preferences, and actions taken in the platform. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand use of our website and platform, and measure marketing.
Text messages, email, and other sources
When you provide a phone number or email address and use our Services, you agree to receive service-related messages, including account notices, equipment and alarm alerts, service updates, and important information about our Services. You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP and get help by replying HELP. We may also receive information from business partners, installers, resellers, referral sources, event organizers, and marketing providers. Entouch and Ecotrak are affiliated companies and may exchange asset records, work orders, maintenance history, equipment and energy data, and related contact details to deliver an integrated service.
Information we receive from our customers
Customers may enter personal information into our Services, such as names and contact details of their staff, technicians, and service providers. We may access a customer account and its contents to provide support. Customers are responsible for complying with applicable laws on notice, consent, and transfer of personal information before providing it to Entouch. Our customer agreements contain specific protections and limits on how we access and use customer data.
How we use information
We use personal information to establish and maintain customer relationships; meet our legal obligations; provide services, support, alerts, reports, transactions, and communications you request; operate, maintain, and secure our website, platform, and devices; monitor usage; detect fraud and unauthorized access; maintain records; improve our website and services; develop new products, features, analytics, and AI capabilities; and market our own products and services. We do not provide personal information to third parties to market their own goods or services. Where we can, we use de-identified or aggregated data for these purposes.
When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business, fulfill the purposes in this policy, or as you direct. This may include sharing with your consent; with your organization’s administrators; with Ecotrak and other affiliates; with service providers and business partners such as cloud hosting, connectivity, payment processing, analytics, customer support, email and text messaging, authorized installers, and service partners; to comply with the law and protect rights; in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets; and as aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
Your choices and rights
You can choose not to give us certain personal information, refuse cookies, update or correct information in your account, unsubscribe from marketing emails, or opt out of text messages by replying STOP. You can ask what personal information we have about you and request a copy, correction, or deletion. To use these options, contact us at info@entouchcontrols.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights, including the rights to know, access, correct, delete, and receive a portable copy of personal information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Entouch does not sell personal information. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. California residents may also make a request under California Civil Code Section 1798.83 by contacting info@entouchcontrols.com.
Security and data retention
No method of transmitting or storing data is 100% secure. We use organizational, technical, and administrative safeguards appropriate to the risk across our website, platform, and connected devices. We protect the personal information we control against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, and unauthorized access or disclosure, and require our service providers to do the same. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected or as required by legal and contractual obligations. Building and device data is retained according to your customer agreement.
Children’s privacy and international users
Our Services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Our Services are hosted in the United States. If you use them from outside the U.S., including from the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Canada, your information will be transferred to the United States for storage and processing. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the Last updated date at the top. For significant changes, we may also notify you in other ways, such as a notice in the platform or an email. Your continued use of our Services after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
